The mobile app for Sonjas Nähstübchen is also available in the Apple App Store as of May 27, 2026. After the Android version, the iOS version for iPhone is now available as well.
Sonjas Nähstübchen is designed for people who want to plan and document sewing, knitting, crochet and other craft projects in a clear structure. Projects can store status, category, technique, notes, materials, instructions, checklists, working time and photos. This keeps the important information about each project in one place.
Tools for creative work
The app focuses on practical tools that are useful while working on a project. These include a row counter with voice control, knitting chart management with row highlighting, an editor for custom knitting patterns and calculators for gauge, socks, units, raglan, yarn balls and yarn consumption.
The row counter is especially useful during knitting or crochet work. When both hands are needed for the project, counting, stepping back or resetting can be done by voice without constantly touching the device. Knitting charts can also be marked and continued so the current position is easy to find again later.
Manage projects locally or share selected content
The app is more than a toolbox. It also works as a project archive. Users can manage their own projects locally and, if they want, share selected content with the community. The community feature is optional: when a project is shared, users decide which content is published.
That makes Sonjas Nähstübchen useful for private project organization as well as for exchanging creative ideas, progress and instructions.
